Strategy meets creativity
A&B ONE unites competencies
Berlin, 23.03.2009 – Where does PR end and where does advertising begin? For the communications agency A&B ONE this has long been an unfashionable question. “Communications disciplines and their trench warfare are a thing of the past,” says Imran Ayata, managing partner at A&B ONE. With its own creative team based in the Berlin office, collective advertising competence is now also a feature of the agency’s profile. Giving greater weight to the visual and advertising communication within the campaigns has already proven its worth. The motto: Strategy meets creativity. The team established at the start of the year has already been able to win three new clients, including the Africa campaigning organization ONE headed by Bono and Bob Geldof.
The Creative Director is Cornelis Stettner. He is responsible for the campaigning for Public Issues Clients, Brands and Corporate Clients. At the agency “Zum Goldenen Hirschen” Stettner was responsible as a planner and copywriter for 25 election campaigns for The Greens. As the founder of the advertising agency Roxy Munich he established a reputation with the successful Poptown campaign for MTV Germany.
The Art Director is Lars Wittiger. He is one of the founders of Vice Magazine, where he was responsible for the German edition and for the art direction of Vice concepts in the print and online areas. He has developed and implemented creative solutions for brands such as Adidas, American Apparel, Axe, Becks, Lee, Osram, Sony Ericsson, and many others.
Jonas Lieder is in the team as copywriter and concept developer. He also comes from the agency “Zum Goldenen Hirschen”, and has experience in the conception and creation of advertising campaigns for clients from the worlds of politics and business – from The Greens and the SPD, through the German section of Médecins Sans Frontières, to federal ministries. The interface between clients and the creative team is formed by Alice Gittermann as Account Director Advertising & Campaigns.
As client consultant and account director she has, just like Jonas Lieder, gathered vast experience in political communication at “Zum Goldenen Hirschen”. With Franziska Schönberner as Managing Director, the team has a senior consultant who has been producing Political Campaigning at A&B ONE since 2001, including a spell as account director of the campaign on the new family benefits provided by the Federal Ministry of Family Affairs. Schönberner will ensure team-building and integration into the work routines of the agency.
“We are not simply expanding the range of services provided by our agency,” says Ayata. “Campaigning is a question of addressing and convincing citizens and consumers through several channels.”
The expansion of the creative offering is being continued. “We will be offering the market something new in terms of services and the promise to our clients,” says Ayata.
